Merchants & Marine Bank Announces New Hires

PASCAGOULA, Miss. – Merchants & Marine Bank (“M&M Bank”) a wholly owned subsidiary of Merchants & Marine Bancorp, Inc. (OTC QX: “MNMB”) today announced three new team members to serve customers in Jackson and George counties. Lisa Johnson has been named retail bank manager and community banker for the Gautier office; Chad Wade will serve the Gautier community as a commercial banker; and Jessica Odom is the new retail bank manager for the Bank’s Lucedale office.

Wade comes to Merchants & Marine Bank from Alliance Collection Service where he was a regional sales executive. He has several years of prior banking experience as a personal banker and branch manager. “Chad brings great depth and knowledge of credit and financial services, as well as a proven ability to build and maintain relationships,” said Mack Rushing, Mississippi market president for Merchants & Marine Bank. “He will be a great asset to the bank and to our business customers.”

 

 

 

 

 

Lisa Johnson Retail Bank Manager Community Banker Gautier

Johnson brings more than 20 years of experience in banking, finance, training and sales. She attended the Mississippi School of Banking and has completed additional courses in leadership, retail management, consumer and small business lending. “Lisa is well-known in the Gautier and Ocean Springs market where she participates in and supports several community organizations and activities,” said David Thomas, retail banking vice president for the bank. “Her familiarity with the area as well as her extensive banking experience will be instrumental in helping us grow consumer and small business relationships.”

 

 

 

 

Jessica Odom Retail Bank Manager Lucedale

Odom returns to banking after serving as office manager for South Alabama UtilitiesPrior to that role, she had a 21-year banking career in numerous roles including customer service, human resources, lending and branch management. Odom is a graduate of Alabama Southern Community College and holds several professional certifications.  “Jessica’s deep experience serving many different areas in the banking industryparticularly in small business and consumer lending, is extremely valuable in her new role with Merchants & Marine Bank,” said Thomas. In addition, her commitment to customer service will be a tremendous asset to our customers and the Lucedale community.”
