Last week, the Merchants & Marine Bank branch on Bienville Boulevard had the honor of hosting July’s Business After Hours event held by the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce. This monthly social and networking event provides local business owners and staff the opportunity to connect, mingle, and find ways to support each other.
MMB was proud to be featured as the highlighted business during this month’s event. Having recently debuted an updated brand, including a new logo, this provided us with an opportunity to remind the public that while we continue to improve, we are the same trusted community bank we’ve been for over 120 years. Although we’re sporting a fresh new look, our core values of supporting the community and providing top-notch, personalized service have not changed.
“We were thrilled to get the opportunity to showcase our bank and everything we’ve been working on,” said MMB’s Jon Parker, who manages client, community, and public relations in Jackson and George counties. “The business professionals who attended are vital to the community here in Ocean Springs. Not only was it great to connect with them, but it also provided a much-needed sense of normalcy and getting back into the routine of things.”
Small business is the backbone of America, and we’re grateful to be a part of an event that empowers local businesses to collaborate and grow. To do our part, we covered the $5 donation for each business attending this event, and we will be matching that amount with a donation to a local charity.
